Excellent for practical use or for college students away from home for the first time.
I bought a Motorola Microtac 650 to use when traveling to and from the university where I teach. It has proven itself reliable and convenient beyond my expectations.
When I purchased this phone, I knew I did not need the latest technology--just a basic instrument to keep me safe. I have had two breakdowns in my car, and my husband has been able to receive my messages quickly and I did not have to stand out in the cold and attempt to fix the car myself (although I am quite capable).
He is now carrying a phone exactly like mine, and we can be in contact when he is in the fields or out checking the cattle. We have found our phones to be functional, easy to carry and use, and quite practical.
The Microtac 650 serves our needs perfectly, and we would recommend this phone to anyone who simply needs a basic phone and not all of the added technology available today. The batteries are at least 18 months old and still going strong. Great product!!!
