Recommended it? No
I wanted a cell phone and service to use when I was traveling in case of emergency or a breakdown coming or going to bingo. I hoped right over to Walmart's to the Alltel booth and subscribed to the service and picked out this phone which was recommended by the sales person. I know nothing about cell phones and foolishly did not do any research before I bought.

I still know nothing about cell phones but I do know what I like and don't like. This phone is hard to use and unless you press the buttons from the side with the inside of your thumb or finger they stick. Never having had a phone before I don't know if this is the usual or not. When I went back to the service person I found out that I am stuck with this phone for a year, but that is another opinion.

The battery on the back of the phone is prone to come down so there isn't a good connection, I found this out when trying to use and it would not do anything, being the woman in all the cartoons that show how dumb she is about electronics it took me an hour to figure out that the back had slid down. I know, my husband is still laughing. The battery still slides.

On the plus side it has a long charge life and sounds clear when talking
a lot of neat little programs are in the phone like pushing certain buttons and finding out how many minutes you use. You can program in two emergency numbers for fast access.

The next phone I buy I will research before I purchase.
