Good solid radios
I purchased these 2 units including the drop in charger for $70, less a $10 mail in rebate, at Costco a month ago. I got a pair of T5950's on EBAY ($45) good deal in itself because they were new and the person had never opened the sealed container. Great performance
I had a pair of these for over a year and range was improved over the 2 mile models. The less obstacles, the better the distance. On open water, they worked just fine over 4+ miles. Highly satisfied
I admit we haven't done distance tests on them, bit reviews elsewhere indicated the range on these is very good. I was more after features and sound quality. Don't waste your money.
I just got one Talkabout T5950 from Costco. The package says the range is up to 5 miles. I tested mine, the actual range is less than 0.3 mile.
