So far, so good

Pros Cute as a button, FANTASTIC sound quality (amazing, really)
Cons Limited extras
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Superior sound quality to many higher priced models, excellent portability
I've only had this phone about a week, and purchased it as my first foray into Tracphone service. I've had previous cell phone contracts with major carriers, but I'm a very light cell phone user (like less than 15 minutes a month) and I really don't need any of the bells and whistles (camera, texting, etc) on some of the fancier phones.

I had a Katana with my old provider, and I can honestly say I PREFER this C139. It's cute, has all the basic necessities you want in a phone, the call quality, both what I hear and what the person I'm talking to hears, is MUCH more clear than my Katana. I called myself at home to leave myself a message using the C139 and was just astonished at how clear it was!

I'd read some reviews elsewhere questioning the battery life of this phone, but on the first couple days I purposely left the phone on all day (which is NOT how I'd normally use it - I normally don't even turn a cell on until the weekends) - and battery stayed at full bars, no problem.

The "select" issue that was mentioned in a previous review here and in other reviews elsewhere was a bit odd at first, but once you get used to it, no problem (to select you don't press the center button, as with most phones, you have to press the top left button).

I was concerned about the "open face" of this phone, since I typically carry it in my jeans pocket and didn't want it accidentally turning on or dialing someone because of pressure in my pocket, and then inadvertently using up all my minutes. But it takes a lot more than a quick bump of a button to turn it on, or to dial a call, so no worries there.

Overall, I'm quite happy.
