The phone works, but...
Pros
Very small inexpensive phone.
Cons
Undependable website, poor customer service.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
A very inexpensive small, lightweight cellphone for basic use, and nothing else. Poor website dependability.
I bought this phone several months ago with the idea that I was going to cancel my Verizon account even though Verizon's customer service is good and the coverage is excellent. The reason being is the small number of calls that I make and receive.
The few times that I tested this phone it seemed to work OK. The coverage seemed fair, but nowhere as good as Verizon. I wouldn't use AT&T again for free.
The last three times I tried to buy additional minutes and days through their website I was unable to. I keep getting errors indicating there was a problem with my credit card(s). I reentered/deleted/reentered/added a different card several times. I was told to call their customer service each time. The dummies that I spoke with could not resolve the website issue, nor was there anyone that I could speak with specifically about the credit card/website issue. But they were happy to offer to sell me more minutes and time than I was attempting to purchase through their website.
There is no way to download contacts from your computer so entering a lot of names and numbers can be tedious. You may be able to do this with a SIM card reader/writer but I don't know for sure.
If you're looking for a very small phone that just has basic features then I guess this phone might be worth looking at. I think I only paid $10 for it at WalMart so if it ends up in the trash, no big deal. If I do decide to keep it I'll just go with their double minutes for life/800 minutes/one year of service for $120.00 that they sometimes offer.
