Don't Let It Fool You

byrostov Oct 28, 2008
Pros Great to carry in pocket and easy to hold while talking
Cons Everything else
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:

Get your moneys worth by buying another phone

There are several people who wouldn't want anything else but a Razor for a phone. They are drawn to buy this phone because the size is convenient, and it doesn't take up to much room in the pocket.  If feels great to hold conversations on because it's easy to hold.  And that's what drew me to the phone to buy it.
But then there are people like me who can be fooled once, but let's hope not twice.

There are several things to this phone that will make it so I never buy one again.  And it wasn't just by the luck of the draw that made me get a low quality phone.  All, and I really mean ALL of the people who I have met with the razor have not been satisfied.  Not even the lady who works at the cell phone company was satisfied with her razor.

1-The battery life is great for the first couple months, but then after that it's quaility goes down hill faster than a car in neutral.  I can take my phone off the charger and after a five to ten minute conversation it is already on low battery.  Sometimes it take five minutes to charge it to it's full capacity and at other times it take more than an hour.  But don't let it fool you.  Just because it charges for over an hour you will still get the same amount of talking time on it as if was charged for only five minutes.

2-The phone lies.  It will tell you that the battery is good.  It will let you make one call after the next and show no sign of the battery losing power.  And then right in the middle of a conversation, BAM, your phone is dead, leaving you with a conversation unfinished and in a place where you can't charge it.  The phone lies.

3-You can forget sending or receiving any text that moves or does anything cool.  I have received several texts from friends that where I was unaware that they do cool little features.  So I went to the phone place where I got my phone and said, "Hey, my phone won't let me get cool text.  Why?"  Their response was pretty much this. "It's because it's a razor."

4- The MP3 player, yeah, it stinks.  It won't go from one song to the next on it's own.  You have to do it.  So much for listening to music just for the fun of it.  Changing the songs by yourself sort of drains the fun out of listening to the music.  And besides, after a couple of songs your phone is dead anyways.

5-Have you ever received a text at three in the morning and wondered why that person was still up?  They're not.  Your phone is jsut stupid to receive it when they sent it.  The same with sending texts.  They won't all send.  And if they do there are some cases where they will get the text a couple days later and then give you your answer far later than what you wanted.

My advice, don't get one.  Like I said, it wasn't the luck of the draw that I happened to grab this phone.  The majority of all razors are like this.

So don't let it fool you. It's not as great as it seems.
