The Bottom Line:
I would pass unless you are looking for anothing else than a phone with no other features.
I purchased the Motorola W370 cell only because I lost my other phone, and needed a new one right away, and I was low on funds, and seeking the cheapest available option. This phone is VERY basic. I use the Rogers Wireless Network in Canada, and this is their entry Pay-As-You-Go phone, but was able to be adapted to my existing plan.
My reception has always been clear on the phone, and I always get a strong signal. I have had no dropped calls.
There is no camera, no mp3 player, and the keypad is horrible for texting, it is very slow, and the keys do not respond well. I do not find the battery life to last very long either, considering the lack of bells and whistles.
The ring tone selection is horrible, however, you do have the option to go online and download proper ringtones, at least I do with my provider.
To be honest, I hate this phone. However, I am more of a text messenger, and I don't actually talk on the phone a lot. It's really not the right choice for me, but I purchased it in a pinch.
If you want nothing other than a basic phone, this is a great choice, but if you think you will be using other features, such as camera, text messenging, etc, then there are better choices out there for you.
