Unbelievably Silent Operation

I just hate those noisy disc read mechanisms, especially when you have company and are trying to please the crowd. Marantz has come up with one of the most quiet DVD players on the market and the operation is just as smooth. Its enclosed in a very meek sleek black housing, that gives it the impression of being just another standard DVD player.
The loading mechanism is somewhat slow when compared to other DVD players. It takes approximately 4-5 seconds before the tray extends and 1-2 seconds to retract. After patiently waiting for the drawer to extend and retract the excitement begins, without a peep or murmur from the disc read mechanism.
The Marantz DV-4000 gives a stellar performance with the use any of your favorite DVD movies. Award winning digital dolby 5.1 Marantz sound flows from the outputs of the unit into a home theater system giving you the effect of being encapsulated by a realistically enhanced environment of sound.
The image quality is beyond average when viewed on a decent monitor, preferably a high resolution television. All standard formats are playable, including CDR, CDRW, DVD, Audio CD, and Video CD. The discrete dual laser pickup allows for faster access times compared to the standard single laser pickup.
Equipped with an upgradable feature function, the unit can be reconfigured for custom operation. With the 80 disc parental approval system activated kids are prohibited from viewing mature material, programmable as the parent sees fit. It also has an AC3/MPEG2 decoder built-in, which allows the unit to read discs formated with AC3/MPEG2 graphical information, adding to overall universal operation.
The only downside I found was that you have to be in line with the remote sensor before it detects the remote signal. This doesn't in anyway detract away from the quality of the player. Its just a minor flaw considering the superb quality of the unit. We live in an imperfect world what do you expect?
