Recommended it?
Yes
This monitor is excellent in quality, but it is a little expensive compared to other 19 inch monitors out there on the market today. This monitor is different because it features a flat screen instead of the curved screen like normal monitors have. This allows for almost totally glareless operation without needing the use of a glare filter.
The on screen colors are vibrant. Unlike some other monitors, colors do not appear to be washed out, but appear to have a depth to them. Also the on screen controls are very thorough allowing to you do everything you need to do to tweak your monitor to your liking.
The only problem with this monitor is that it has two very fine and hard to notice lines that run horizontal on the screen all the time. These are caused by the aperture grille stabilization filaments (damper wires). These are hard to notice unless they are on a white background, and even then they are very faint. These lines are normal on all aperture grille CRT's, and are not just specific to this monitor. So any like monitor will probably have the same.
I recommend this monitor for the power user. A 19 inch monitor may be a little too much for the averaqe person. But the size is great to have if you plan to operate it from far away or if you play lots of games and want to be totally immersed in them. This is also good if you do a lot of graphics editing which requires that you see lots of screen at a time.
The maximum resolution that this monitor supports is 1600x1200, which should be enough for anyone. Most monitors on the market today can not even support that level yet.
Overall this is an excellent monitor, and if you have an extra hundred to spend on a monitor, I would go with this one.
