Why "Flat" is better!

To say this monitor is great is an understatement. Mitsubishi has been putting out quality televisions for the past decade or so and I have been the proud owner of several televisions sets. I am glad they've entered the computer arena with their "Diamond Vision" monitors.
These 19" monitors* are of the new generation of flat screens. Unlike most monitors, which still have some bulging in the middle of the screen, these don't. The benefit is you lower the picture distortion and potential glare from surrounding light sources. The glass surface is as flat as a window pane. The monitor has a very high contrast ratio. What does this mean? The dark appears very black and the brightest areas white. The colors are brilliant and focus is sharp (pictures and text) and well defined. Try watching some of your favorite DVD movies with the Diamond Plus 91. You'll love the picture.
With a huge monitor such as this, be prepared to spend some money for a nice video card (16MB video ram or more) so you can take advantage of an ultra high screen resolution. (1600X1800)
I want to point out, while these are truly flat screen monitors, they are not to be confused with the even newer LCD monitors with are flat and compact in design.
The only negative thing I can say about this monitor is how heavy it was to lug into my living quarters. The unit dissipates a lot of heat, so shut it off every chance you get when you're not planning to be near your computer.
