Nakamichi CD-45Z Car CD Player

I bought this cd player in mid 1999 for 350 dollars because my girlfriend(now my wife) was visiting me and i wanted to get a cd player for my car. After i had bought the player i look at it's specs and was really impressed. From the outside it looks like some cheap cd player with very simple layout and designs. I love this cd player is that it doesn't attract attention and most car stereo thieves will think that this is some cheap stuff from the sunday swap meet. It also looks simple and not like those other brands where they have some small tv screens in their display screen. Who cares about those screen when they sound like crap. I took 3 hours to install it because i didn't want to scratch it. After plugging in the power and putting the cd in i heard what was one of the best playback sounds i have ever heard. The music was fantastic. NO words can describe it, and that was from factory speakers. Soon after that i bought a set of Infinity Kappa speaker set to match with it. The sound is much better than any cd player i have heard. Even those Bose system in expensive cars cannot compete with it! It comes with a cute remote and controls are very easy to use. The only weak point is that it does not play cd-rw but it doesn't really matter to me. I have heard of some reliability problems with Nakamichi but i guess i am the lucky one. This is the third product from Nakamichi that i have used and none of them gave me any problems at all. I would definately recommend this unit to anyone who is in to perfect cd player with no fancy displays from other makers.
