Nakamichi SoundSpace 8 Audio Shelf System

I was looking for a good sound system for our beach house. There were a few criteria that I had to have. The cabin is only about 800 sq. ft. so it had to be compact. I also wanted great sound that would fill the main room. I did a fair bit of research on the web and it seemed that the Nakamichi SS8 might fit the bill. Unfortunately, there weren't many reviews out there, but from what little I could pull together it seemed like it could be a good choice. Well, I'm happy to report that it was certainly the right system for my needs. The main unit can mount right onto the wall which is a great space saver. I did order additional wall speaker mounts so I could move the speakers for directional adjustment. The system does come with wall mounting screws but the speakers are then fixed in place. A sub-woofer unit sits on the floor and this is also where the system's power source resides as well. It was easy to put together and the sound is awesome. I knew that Nakamichi made a quality system and they did not disappoint. The room was filled with rich sounds and solid bass from the sub-woofer. There appears to be plenty of power in the system as well. I haven't opened the volume wide open but at about half strength it sounded loud and clear and more than I needed at that strength so I'm sure it would accommodate a much larger space for sound if necessary. The system has all kinds of bells and whistles if one elects to employ them. But the system is still easy to use if you just want to use it for general listening. It comes with 2 remotes. One is larger detailed remote that will allow you to take advantage of all of the higher end functions and toys that come with the system. The smaller remote can be used for more basic operation. You may also operate the unit without remotes as well and use functional buttons located on the main unit. There are also several options as far as input and output go. An MP3 player can be plugged in as well as other audio and video devices. Needless to say I'm very happy with this purchase and give it high recommendations. I purchased the system new from E-bay.
