Go Ahead. I Dare You to Get Lost!

bycuculuain Feb 3, 2008

Pros Light, flat profile, easy to understand interface, loaded with options.
Cons Initial charging is a hassle. Awkward touch-screen. No stylus.
Recommended it? Yes

Next to Rifle Marksmanship, the two most important skills I learned as a young soldier were dismounted, and later, mounted Land Navigation. Indeed, the ability to effectively use a map and compass was stressed so much that everyone in my peer group shared an equal amount of disdain for getting... Read full review »

A Guilt Free Purchase

Pros Half Life 2 and Portal! Great deal.
Cons Team Fortress 2...meh.
Recommended it? Yes

Half Life 2 has already been the stuff of legend for some time before the Orange Box came out, but the very mention of it sent shivers up gamers' spines. All of sudden, it was the stuff of legend again. What's the deal here? It's just a game after all.

Admittedly, I missed out on Half... Read full review »

Promising but Navigon needs to fix software for US use

byaero4 Sep 28, 2007

Pros Free traffic. Reality view. Nice physical design. Strong company in Europe. Loud and...
Cons Everyday points of interest missing. Routing not set for US users. Poor battery life.
Recommended it? No

This is a promising product. The free traffic and to a lesser extent the "reality view" at first set this apart from current competing units in the same price range (e.g. Nuvi 660).

The company is well known and respected in Europe and the Navigon 5100 and 7100 were introduced here about... Read full review »

Orange Box is Definitely a Keeper

Pros Solid Gameplay, Interesting Storylines, Fun Multiplayer
Cons Team Fortress is only supported over Xbox Live.
Recommended it? Yes

Generally when a gaming company shifts one of their titles onto a game system, the transformation horribly disfigures the game, rendering it completely devoid of fun. Though, this is not the case for Orange Box for the Xbox 360.

Orange Box is actually a collection of three games with two... Read full review »

A Great Value (But where is the PC version?)

bynad_masters Dec 16, 2007

Pros 3 games for 1 price, Portal is fun, EP2 finally out, TF2 also FINALLY out
Cons TF2 not as I hoped (I get dizzy when trying to play this fast-paced game)
Recommended it? Yes

Before you ask, I tried to look for the PC version of the game to post my review under, but unfortunately, it is either not listed or I can't find it. Either way, I will post my review here for the time being and will move it over to the PC version when it is available.

A Great Value

A Bluetooth Headset I Can Live With.

bydnhoshor Jun 18, 2008

Pros The BT3030 pendant provides good stereo with wireless bluetooth.
Cons The included headsets sound tinny, but are easily replaced.
Recommended it? Yes

The Jabra BT3030 is a bluetooth stereo headset adapter that's easy to like. It looks a lot like military dog tags, but the tag is about a quarter of an inch thick and is rimmed in a black plastic case. Six metal and rubber buttons let you control the headset and any bluetooth enabled device you... Read full review »

The Quality/Quantity Level Has Never Been This High

Pros Five great games for the price of one normal game.
Cons Dated graphics in some of the titles, TF2 can lag at times.
Recommended it? Yes

**Note that this review was originally written for and published on the GameFAQs website.**

The Orange Box is a ridiculously good deal for gamers. I bought the 360 version even though I've already played Half-Life 2 and Episode One on the PC and I still feel like I got a good deal. If you... Read full review »

Almost sorry I bought it

Pros Nifty 3D display; good POI database
Cons Collection of usability issues; real-time traffic ineffective
Recommended it? No

I bought a refurbished Navigon 5100 a few months ago for a little under $100, mainly for the lifetime traffic. It replaced my Magellan 3100, which has found a happy home with a friend. The GPS has not lived up to its billing and I will probably replace it this holiday season. In the meantime,...
