Pros No doubt about it; A Nikon professional quality camera with all the bells and whistles.
Cons The price, a little intimidating but it intended for the pro or serious enthusiast.
Recommended it? Yes

I am an amateur photographer at best but when I take a serious picture I want to know that the results of my efforts are not determined by inferior equipment. Pros Impressive picture quality, especially in RAW. Fast response, high overall performance.

That's right, don't be intimidated by the D200. Although it looks like there is too much to learn just a few uses will have you intuitively pushing buttons and switches like a pro.
