Nikon EM 35mm Film Camera

The Nikon EM (Photo) was developed as a small, cute, easy-to-use "SLR Camera for Women", appealing to a market whose needs were not being met sufficiently by conventional heavy, "uncute" SLR cameras on the market at the time.

Pros Very small, light and CHEAP. Accurate meter, Nikon lenses
Cons Lacks full manual control.
Recommended it? Yes

It has been a while since I've purchased a manual focus camera body, largely on account of having found bliss in my current outfit and not needing any change. Pros Light, cheap, quite durable and takes most AI & AIS nikkor lenses. Great for night shots.
Cons No DOF pre-view,no PC socket for external flash.Meter problems if camera not in use.

Well,Nikon EM can't be compared with those old classic Models like Nikon F2As,FE,FM.FM2 and F3 but performance wise this little light weight SLR with only Aperture Priority mode is a gem. It's most useful feature is that of having a M90 mode to bail you out when your batteries die. The 'B'(bulb)... Read full review »
