Nikon F5 35mm Film Camera

I'm a professional newspaper shooter and this camera is my day-in, day-out workhorse. I had been an 2 camera N90s user until one of my camera bodies was rendered unusable in a drop. Sinse the body was insured, I made the move up to the F5. I still shoot with 2 bodies, 1 F5 and 1 N90s, but the N90s is often relegated to an expensive lens holder, as I would rather switch a lens to the F5 body than shoot with the N90s. This is not a camera for everyone, it has a steep price tag, (it can be had for about $1700, I paid $2300 a year and a half ago) and is stacked with features that only a truly serious amateur, or professional would need. It's tracking autofocus is amazingly quick, accurate, and trustworthy. The controls on the camera become intuitive very quickly. The motor really hums along, advancing film at a rate of up to 8 frames a second, with autofocus tracking. My experience using the F5 in a program mode or shutter/aperature priorty, 95% of the exposures in most all conditions are next to perfect. The lenses available are truly among the worlds best, and the TTL flash system (I use SB-26's) is without equal. Prisms can be replaced, and there are many many options available as far as accessories are concerned. It's a brick as far as the weight goes, (I'm not sure what the actual weight is, but it's really heavy compared to the N90s) I feel the added heft gives more stability as far as handholding with a slow shutter speed. I have big hands and the body is a perfect fit.
