Don't bother with it - cheap relic from the past of film point-and-shoots

Pros Brushed gold look, satin strip, Nikon brand
Cons bleak colors, not sharp, high risk of break down, expensive
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:  This camera is a bad investment. Images are bleak and blurry. Buy digital instead.
Ok, I bought my Nikon 130 ED two years ago. I thought about selling it later but it stopped working last year. I only used it couple of times so it was probably an industrial defect. I thought it was batteries but changing them did not help.
Even before it broke down I was not happy about it. The quality of pictures was nothing spectacular. I took it with me for a vacation in LA, California. The images of Malibu and other beatiful canyons came out rather bleak and not at all sharp. Its performance is that of a cheap point shoot. All the extra features such as zoom, panoramic view, etc. do not matter because the end result is a bleak picture. I have to say that I owned Cannon big mini point-and-shoot for seven years before and the quality was just amazing, like day and night compared to this Nikon.
The extra 80 you pay for it is just for the brushed steel look and for the brand name Nikon on it. Not for the performnce associated with this brand.
I now plan to buy digital point and shoot. For the money spent digital technology seems to be a much better value.
