I love the NES
Pros
Good system with classic games
Cons
Had to blow on games and console when not working
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
I would get it, this system is a classic
I probably received this as a gift in the early nineties, but I still play it. I believe that a lot more went into this console as far as games strategy, game plot, game characters and game skill. The only thing that was bad about it was that when the games got a certain amount of dust on them, that they would stop working or you had to blow on them or the console to get them to try to work again. This system was easy to set up, but it is large, but on the other hand after writing this review almost twenty years after it came out, I am used to smaller game systems. The controllers were easy to use with only two buttons A and B, the arrow controls, and the start and select button. I also enjoyed the Duck Hunt game that came with it, with the original Mario and then eventually when I got the power pad, the olympic games. The power pad was kind of bad though because we used to play upstairs and it made all kinds of noise and we had to eventually stop playing when we got too rowdy. Today my power pad does not work, but it was a good toy at the time
