The Bottom Line:
I bought two of them, so I really love this console. Great family fun.
I am an 80s baby, and so I know my way around a game console. The definitive game console is Super Nintendo. I remember the original Nintendo, which didn't allow the characters to go back, and I remember being so excited when I was able to go back while playing this game (it was the early 90s!).
I lost my first Super Nintendo, but I spent a year trying to find another one locally. I know I could have purchased one on Ebay, but there's something about instant satisfaction that appeals to me... although it did take me a year! Lol I eventually found one on craigslist, including a few games.
Classic games to play on this Super Nintendo console would be Donkey Kong, Super Mario Bros., and Yoshi's Island. All of the bright, chirpy, gimicky music and cartoony graphics are what makes Super Nintendo stand out as the best game platform ever. Admittedly, I'm not into the gore and crazy blood-slashers or the 3D looking video games of late 90s, and I do enjoy playing games with the whole family. Nothing is more addictive than a good old school game on a console that was solidly built and withstands the test of time.
