A great buy

Pros Great Gameplay, Great character customization, Excellent control over your swing.
Cons A few glitches here and there with the putting, lack of control over chip shots.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  This is definitely a good buy if you like golf and are looking for a good multiplayer game
I bought Tiger Woods PGA Tour for the Wii the day it came out. Unlike most games I have purchased for the Wii, I was not bored by the gameplay after a few short days. The game has fourteen game modes in addition to the PGA Tour tournament play. My personal favorite is target, in which the object is to hit your golf ball onto different targets for varying amounts of points. All of the traditional and arcade modes feature both single and multiplayer play, which is a big plus as there are not many Wii games available currently that feature more than 2 players.

The game also features EA Sport's Trademarked "Game Face" character editing, which offers a wide range of skin colors and tones, hair styles and colors, and body shapes. The "Game Face" character editing interface is by far the most intricate editing feature I've ever seen. It gives you complete control over every minute detail, such as cheek bone height, the spacing between eyes, and control over the length, width, and nostril shape of the nose.

The most important thing about this game, to me, is the control you have over your swing. It is a lot more advanced than Wii sports, the pack-in game included with every Wii console. Things like the tempo of your swing, angle of your wrists, and follow through are all necessary components to hitting a beautiful shot directly down the fairway.

As for drawbacks, this game has few. The only things i have found that detract from this game is the lack of control over chip shots, and the occasional malfunction which causes your character to swing early when you pull the remote back too quickly when putting.

If you have a Wii and even a mild interest in golf, I don't think you will be disappointed with this game.
