The Bottom Line:
POOR reception that drops calls and service sporatically(often in the same setting) Not recommended.
The purpose of a cell phone is to provide coverage...which Nokia seems to have placed as a minor secondary feature with the Nokia 2760 cellphone. Basically, it lacks decent reception.
I bought one the other day(and will be returning it) to replace a damaged cellphone. It's a nice looking phone and has a camera with a bunch of features....only the one feature I value(reception) is below par.
The controls are simple to use and navigate with ease. The unit comes with the typical games in promotional form(one quick trial and then you have to buy it to play again...waste of time). In previous years, a few games were always included free as a bonus for buying the phone and service.
Dropped calls like never before! At our home, it totally goes "out of area". That would be understandable if not for the fact that putting the SIM card in a much older phone immediately gets coverage! The Nokia 2760 is the problem. So, my review of the phone is less than complimentary.
The other features work fine such as the camera/video mode; and the phone has IM/email capability...but then the problem of CONNECTION TO THE SYSTEM negates that use as well.
If you are standing in a "hotspot" then the phone works, but stray outside the main circle and you're lost.
Nokia has produced some very good phones (I've owned a few of them) but the 2760 flip-phone is a dissapointment
I'm off the to store to return this one. If the phone is unreliable in an aea near town, I'd hate to think what it would do in a rural area!
