I took mine back

Pros Looks. Screen orientation for web browsing. Keypad.
Cons 4 reboots, and 2 locks that needed battery removal to clear in 1 week.
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:  Don't buy.
I liked the form factor of the E62 and at $100 after a rebate from Cingular, I bit. I used the phone for 1 week and went on a 2 day business trip with it. Whatever else works or does not, the fact that it rebooted twice while I was on calls made it WORTHLESS - the screen just goes to the NOKIA white screen and you have to wait a good minute. I also had 2 lock ups, one while web-browsing, and these could only be cleared by taking the battery out.

While it did work, to say it was sluggish is an understatement. Web browsing was pathetic and if you press the right function button to get the contact list and after say 3 seconds, press it again because nothing had happened, then a couple of seconds later you'd be 2 steps into the contact list and confused. Ugh.

I tried setting up the IM feature and it seemed to connect, logging into MSN messenger with my credentials but none of my contacts ever showed as being online; when I tried to IM someone who I knew was online, the message never got though and the phone locked up (battery removal). This experience made me decide not to bother trying the email function. There is a golf game I played and that worked OK.

I don't know whether this is a Cingular issue in terms of crashes but it is simply unacceptable.

FYI, I added a 512MByte mini SD card (SanDisk) and formatted it in the phone.

I believe that Nokia has lost the plot and the Symbian OS is a dead duck; I previously tried a Nokia 6620, hyped as a phone you could watch video on; Symbian OS. Experiences with that were not quite as bad but it was slooow and I did have lock ups during calls about once per week. After long arguments with Cingular, they eventually SOLD me an Audiovox SMT 5600 Windows Smartphone for a low price which I still use, this is much faster, has great battery life, and is more intuitive to use; examples of why I say that are:
1. Nokia E62 is a 3 press process to get to a list of dialled calls, Windows is 1.
2. Start dialling a number and the Windows smartphone will display a list of all numbers in memory (including dialled) as you enter, so enter the area code and you get all numbers listed in that area. Nokia E62 under same scenario = nothing.
