Good all around camera

Pros Easy to use, stylish looking, 10 megapixels!
Cons Irregular size, low light not great, case?
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Buy it for the ease of use and the price. If you want superior images, move up to a higher-end camera.
Just upgraded from an Olympus Stylus 600. Purchased from Amazon.com with the 2GB XD card bundle for approximately $340.

The battery came with a charge, so it was ready to go right out of the box. The built-in memory will only hold 10 or so pictures, so purchasing an additional XD card is required. At 10 mega-pixels, anyone wanting to take full-resolution images should get at least 1GB, 2GB is recommended.

Users familiar with Olympus interface will immediately know how to use this camera. New users should find it intuitive after 5 minutes with the manual. Anyone who can turn this camera on will be able to use it in point-and-shoot mode. Press the shutter button 1/2 way, and it will beep to let you know the autofocus is complete. Fully pressing the shutter captures the image, an audible shutter sound is heard. (Both can be turned off for quiet situations.)

Trying to use the built-in scene modes can be difficult, there are over 20. (I.e. night, sports, candle, sunset, fireworks, etc.) You'll find that unless you are going need many images in a specific scene mode, it just takes too long to switch back-and-forth.

Difficult to find a well-fitting camera case. Olympus doesn't seem to offer cases made for their specific cameras (unlike Sony, Canon, HP, etc.) Most cases were either too large or too tight. When pulling the camera out of any camera case, the battery/memory card cover tends to slide open.

The circular navigation buttons seem to be flatter than in past Stylus models. Haven't had any problems using them, but they don't seem to be providing as much tactile response.

Finally, all the professional reviews say the low-light capabilities of this camera are poor and return grainy photos. I've found this to be true, but not nearly to the level that they suggest. It shouldn't deter a purchase; most professional reviews seem to complain that point-and-shoot cameras are grainy in low light.

All in all, a great camera for non-professional users. Stylish looking, easy to use, and cheaper than most other 10 mega-pixel cameras out there.
