Onkyo DV-CP704 DVD Player

I do not own an HDTV but when using this player, it looks like I have an HDTV due to superb sound and picture quality. Before purchasing this DVD player, I did a lot of on line research, reading every review I could find, and also checking out the best price. One of the problems that I have found with this DVD player is that it DOES NOT play DVD+R or DVD+RW's even though I read at least one review that states that it does play these kind of discs. The DVD player also has a problem playing all brands DVD-R's. When loading some of my DVD-R's, the player will start playing the disc but will keep pausing intermittently, which can be very annoying. The DVD player is very easy to hook up and the remote is easy to use and read. I do like the "last memory" button on the remote because it will take you back to the same place you stopped on the DVD if you don't finish watching the entire disc before turning the player off. I also like the six disc capability on the player which is great if you are watching a movie or TV series that has more than one disc. It beats having to get up and change discs especially if you are busy doing something else while watching a DVD.
