The Bottom Line:
Great price for a great receiver.
This is an excellent home theater receiver for the price. I purchased mine to replace an old Aiwa receiver and this is much much better. I use it with my original Aiwa speakers and they sound better than they did before. For the price, this system has a good number of inputs and outputs on the back. I was looking for a system that had 3 optical audio inputs and this was one of the only. The sound quality is crystal clear. If you want the best sound, I would suggest investing in high quality speakers. The low impedance for low distortion, and the sound range goes far beyond what we can hear, so it will make any speaker system sound its best. I have also read some reviews that said you cannot save the speaker level settings after you change them, but that is not true. The manual says the speaker level settings are temporary but if you adjust the levels and then push the "test tone" button on the remote it will save the settings.
Overall, this is an excellent system for the price. You cannot expect HDMI inputs at this price. If you are looking for a received tat HDMI inputs, then I would suggest you look at the TXSR604 or higher.
