The Bottom Line:
Do not buy this tv, there is no support and it will last just past warranty.
This TV was great until 3 months after warranty I heard a sound of glass shattering. Called support and got the same $400 for service and $800 for parts (parts come with 90 day warranty....). After complaining Optoma offered to pay half the cost of repair, then added additional parts so total came out to just over $700 out of pocket for us. So we waited for the parts to be shipped to us, upon arrival they said service tech would call us to set up an appointment. Received the parts on Oct. 10th, didn't get a call till the 18th, they left a message. I called them back first thing on the 19th, left a message. Then 2 or 3 more messages after that on various days. They didn't call back until Nov. 1. The man from I.A.I. (phone number calling from Nevada, I live in Oregon) said he would call me back tomorrow with a conference call with the actual tech (who couldn't come today cuz he was at a funeral) who would be coming to fix the TV. Today is Nov. 6, no call yet. We have been in e-mail contact with Optoma as well and they keep telling us they are asking them to call us too. So pretty much 1 month after getting the parts can't get anyone out here to fix the TV, 1 1/2 months after the TV died after being only 15 months old. Optoma isn't making these TV's anymore. Stay away!
