Orion ShortTube 80-T Refractor Telescope

The wide-field refractor that novices appreciate for its ease of use and big-scope owners value as a take-anywhere second scope now has fully multi-coated optics and comes with its own padded carrying case. The ST80-T is outfitted for terrestrial use with a correct-image, 45-deg diagonal (1.25") and 6x26 correct-image finder scope in a quick-release bracket. The 80mm achromatic objective lens's short 400mm focal length delivers wide-field views with exceptional clarity. Two interchangeable Sirius Plossl eyepieces are included, and focusing is a snap with the 1.25" cast-aluminum rack-and-pinion focuser. The has a new dovetail mounting block with a 1/4"-20 threaded hole for easy attachment to any photo tripod or to selected Orion telescope mounts. One-year limited warranty.

Multi-coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces ensure maximum light transmission for bold image fidelity. You'll see dramatic star clusters and nebulas as well as sharp lunar surface detail. The ST80-A includes an aluminum rack-and-pinion focuser (1.25"), 90-deg mirror diagonal, large 8x40 finder scope, and two Expanse wide-field eyepieces (20mm and 9mm). It also comes with tube rings and a dovetail bar compatible with many Orion mounts.
