The Bottom Line:
it's definatly worth the $100 i payed for it. DON'T FORGET TO PURCHASE A "Y CABLE SPLITTER" this is required to get the best sound!
this is definatly the best bang for your buck when you're talking about the sound quality of the bass. it won't shake your whole house unless it's turned up pretty dang high. the sub hits hard, deep, and clean. it expecially excels in music... each thump is tight and you can feel it deep in your chest and your couch. it is only powered by 50 watts rms and 100 max, but that doesn't mean it isn't powerful. even though it's powerful for 50 watts, i wouldn't recommend using this subwoofer in a large room... a small to medium room is what this sub was meant for. in a large room, the bass will be drowned out unless you crank the volume up all the way. this subwoofer can handle it because of it's solid construction but the port feeding the driver is incredibly small. A loud port noise is generated from this and it sounds like the material of the driver is flopping about. I own the cherry finish and it looks incrediably realistic. the size of this sub is a bit excessive and some people may find it troublsome to find a place to put it. the polk audio's psw10 will out perform any other subwoofer in the sub $100 range. it isn't the best subwoofer i've heard but it still gets the job done and it wob't break the bank.
