This is an exceptional player! I just got this yesterday and it works like a charm!!!I Used to have the green/black Sony Psyc and loved it a lot, but then it broke and I went and bought this one. The sound quality is improved and it includes an equilizer to adjust the sound to make your song sound better. The bass is great but at 100% volume it does get distorted on the supplied speakers. The included Sonic Stage software and 5 free music downloads from the Sony Connect music store is great! I'm already taking all my albums and putting them on one cd using ATRAC format. One CD will hold up to 490 songs(ATRACplus at 48 kbps). Right now I am using a 64 kbps bit rate which will hold up to 360 songs. Even though it didn't break, I suggest to buy a replacement plan for this since mine broke only after a year of use(got me really frustrated), only 10 bucks at Best Buy.
Sadly, this player does not have an LCD backlight which was included with the older model(Not the one I bought, but the D-NE300 that came before this one, the D-NE320), but it does include a 3 line LCD screen, one more line than the older one. It does show the CD text if the CD has ID3 tagging on it, which not all albums have. I love the 1 battery capability, so I don't have to look for 2 batteries and save some money by using one battery at a time. The features on this CD player are endless, like the fact that if your CD has the text you can search through the songs while one song is currently playing in the background, like a menu, all you have to press is search. Currently, I am very happy with this CD player and hope that it will last a long time.
