Bought mine on Black Friday at Best Buy for $ 250.00. That to me is what it is worth. I used it for my Grandson's birthday party and it did fairly well, but my old VHS-c does do a lot better in the lower light conditions. It is light weight and easy to use , although the manual is a little confusing because it is written for the GS-35. The feature I like is the still shots. You can take a still any time while filming or even in playback mode with out disturbing the video recording .
