Based on my tech-savvy brother's advice, we decided to go with a mini-DV camera and came across this one which was a great deal. The battery life is adequate, we've had no problems, but the low-light capabilities leave a lot to be desired. Other than that, it's a great camera and perfect for regular, nothing special use!
