It'll damage your negatives!

Pros Automatic loading of films (when it works)
Cons Scratch negatives, software set to auto-balancing produces horrible pictures.
Recommended it? No
I have so many negatives to scan, so finally I decided to buy a scanner for negative films. The PF1800 AFL was my first choice, because of (advertised) quality and price.
I paid about $280 at Fry's.
The first unit, doesn't load the film. As much as I can push the film inside, the film won't load.
Return to the store next day. I exchange with another unit (same model).
This one has a "similar" problem: the negatives won't go inside easily, but at least if you force a little bit, it'll eventually manage to load the film strip.

My biggest disappointment however is when I started to scan one of my album. After about 10 pictures I noticed some "artifacts" in the produced image. I took the negative and with my surprise there were scratches all around the surface.
Incredible! My negatives ruined forever. Because of this crap.

The scanner is already boxed and ready to go back to the store.
