Waste of Money, does not perform
Pros
There are none that I can think of.
Cons
It just does not work as it should.
Recommended it?
No
I originally bought the PF 1800AFL about 4 years ago to scan all my all slides and negatives.
Even when it was new it didn't work very well. It was rubbish at auto-scanning a film strip and didn't come close to detecting the correct gaps between frames.
I havn't bothered with it for a while but thought I would get it out and try with it again, now the strip feed doesn't work at all.
