Palm Pre - For Pre-Adults
Pros
Fast, iTunes friendly, Great Apps available, Smalll
Cons
Low battery life, Music player difficult to use in car, Keyboard stinks.
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
This phone is best suited for a perhaps a small girl who is in Elementary or Middle school. Good phone, just ergonomically wasnt for me.
I gave the Pre a shot about a month ago and it lasted a week with me before I returned it to Sprint.
I will make this very short but to the point. The Pre is an outstanding device. It has many apps and run multiple programs and does what it is supposed to do. It also iTunes friendly so it is easy to transfer your music.
For me it didnt work out because its far too small for my hand. I just could not get my thumb to cooperate in a decent comfortable manor when handling it.
The Pre was a bit awkward in the car as well. It would go to sleep when playing music (which is fine) but when I got to a song I wanted to skip it was so difficult to turn it back on. You have to press a small button or slide the entire thing open, then unlock it. If State Farm knew what I was having to do for week while on I-95 they would boot me off my policy. Plus for some reason the songs would freeze just random out of the blue. So would have to pull over at times for that to reboot or just turn onto FM radio all together.
The manual Keyboard stinks. I mean its just so small. Give me a break this is designed for a like a small little monkey or something. I did however find some hacks online that allow you to download a touch screen keyboard for it of various styles.
Battery hardly can make it thru the day.
Finaly there just arent many protective cases on the market for this device. The slider style limits selection.
So too many negatives for me here. Had to return it.
