Palm Treo Pro Smartphone

I have had Treo's for years... my 700p broke while on vacation and it made sense to upgrade instead of paying for repair (esp after Sprint changed their deductible rate from $50 to $100). I hesitated to go with the Window's Mobile platform because I had a bad experience with WinMobile's frequent crashing in the past, but went ahead and decided to try this model. Don't do it. I have had this phone for about 2 months and keep thinking I am going to come around... I haven't. This phone is a poor excuse for computer that happens to function as a phone. Not only does it crash on a regular basis (I haven't even downloaded any additional apps/programs), but it also has difficulty interfacing with the most basic phone options -

1. My voicemail has an extreme recognition latency ("to delete this message press 7", I press 7 and it takes almost 5 seconds to register and move on to the next message)

2. My SMS texts crash frequently and do not resend on their own... and there is no message that a resend has successfully transmitted. I cannot text while on the phone... and I receive texts in non-chronological order. My send/receive is much slower than anyone I am talking to via SMS ... as much as 12hrs!

3. I cannot cut and paste from the internet to other applications (SMS, Email, etc.)

4. Attachments do not show up from my outlook calendar in my phone

5. Information bubbles pop-up and are not easy to dismiss

6. The alarm clock is ridiculously quiet.

7. Just to make a phone call is a multistep process with contrived and redundant screens for doing the same tasks...

8. The key pad is extremely hard to type on... so much so that I've pretty much stopped trying to respond to emails and texts...

9. The camera is slow (both shutter and zoom) and has too many settings to perform the same task... (profile picture, rapid photo, regular photo, and something else)

This phone is terrible and should be avoided at all costs!
