Pros Sexy-cool
Cons Battery is not replaceable, couple of bugs that can accidentally drain your battery
Recommended it? Yes

Note: This review was updated 6/6/00.

No question about it, the Palm V is sexy. Before you buy one, though, you should be aware of some of its quirks, some more annoying than others. These quirks are especially apparent if you currently own (and like) the Palm III.

I. Some of the... Read full review »

Pros User friendly, sufficient storage capacity, interchangeable between device and computer
Cons None
Recommended it? Yes

I am the very satisfied owner of the Palm V connected organizer. I had long wanted a hand held organizer, one that would have both computer interchangeable abilities and one that would be able to perform different applications. Christmas day was a happy one for me last year, not only because of... Read full review »

Pros Stylish design, easy to clean, small enough to fit in your pocket.
Cons Tight fit for the stylus holder, you need to remove it to hot sync.
Recommended it? Yes

After purchasing a Palm Glove for my husband?s Palm 100 a few months ago, I decided that I needed to treat my Palm to a nicer carrying case as well (the other one sort of resembled a calculator case). So I went back on Amazon.com to search the cases similar to the one that I had ordered for my... Read full review »

Why did you purchase this product?

Late 1998 and early 1999 was a good time for online shopping. Stores were in competition for a customer base, and in fact were so desperate for said that there was no lack of coupons to make shopping online a great deal. In fact the rapid demise of online... Read full review »

Pros Beautiful, Lightweight, Palm OS
Cons Only 2MB of Memory, Rechargeable Battery Can Leave You Stranded
Recommended it? Yes

I?ve reviewed many of the (mostly) new PDAs but I?ve received about a dozen emails from folks asking for my opinion of the Palm V. I respond that I wrote an Epinion on the Palm Vx which is essentially the same unit but with more memory. But still the mail comes as apparently the Palm Vx isn?t as... Read full review »

How a Palm V will save the day:

Let's face it, if you don't have a pda you're living in the dark ages, you might as well be carrying tablets and chisels around - not very convenient.

The palm V has not only saved me tons of time, but has increased my I.Q., raised my standard of... Read full review »

Change to a Great Stylus: The Pilot Pentopia Chameleon

byquasar Jan 29, 2003
56 Helpfuls 57 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros very thin, very light, comfortable to hold, writes well, fits in stylus silo
Cons Palm III model doesn't have a clear barrel
Recommended it? Yes

There are thousands of stylii on the market these days and no one stylus is going to be right for every person. The same stylus can be too light for one person and too heavy for another. One person may prefer a thick pen-like stylus, finding it easier to hold, while another finds those thicker... Read full review »

Pros Look great
Cons No internet access on the road, only 2mb of memory

I've had the Palm Professional for quite a long time until I gave it to my brother. Finally I felt the need to upgrade and I was stuck on whether I would get the Palm IIIx, Palm V or wait for the Palm VII. I compared the Palm IIIx and V in a store... no contest... the Palm V looks absolutely... Read full review »

The Fabulous V

byGirlina Nov 5, 1999

Pros Stylin, tiny, very functional-a dream gadget
Cons Low memory in first edition, pricey
Recommended it? Yes

I've seen 'em all, and the Palm V is what has won a place in Gadgetgrrl's heart (and my handbag). Let's face it, right now nothing else beats the V's combination of size, functionality and style.

Almost everyone who touches a PalmPilot is won over by its simple interface; it's incredibly... Read full review »

Simply Palm

Pros sleek and small vs. III
Cons only 2mb
Recommended it? Yes

Okay, I tossed out my Palm IIIx and got a new Palm. Actually, I gave away my Palm IIIX to a good friend. One that was very grateful in fact, that I was able to share!
The Palm V is pretty much the same exact thing as the Palm IIIx but the main difference lies in the physical appearance between... Read full review »
