The Bottom Line:
excellent prosume 3ccd digital filmmaking camera an excellent choice for starting and experienced filmmakers. Widescreen plus Cinema film look mode, amazing.
This is an amazing camera for the price that came out with, is very much like a Canon Gl1/XL1/Sony pd150(without the flip out lcd screen and the high overrated price),if not more handy, very rugged the kind of camera that you would like to take to a Concert or some really rocky terrain trip or something like that, because the Panasonic AG EZ1 besides recording in crisp 3 ccd colors also can record on Cinema mode, yes, you can make your own movie with this camera and it can take some beating.
TV series have been shot with this camera, TV specials, the image is so crisp, sharp, colorful(even on cinema mode wich emulates the film look, trust me amazing), it has on camera filters for different lighting or moods situations, steadishot (wich i don't use that much cause i mount it on a steadicam)the camera is and looks so strong that you can practically take it anywhere.
Not on circulation anymore you can actually find them on Ebay (there's also the japanese version Panasonic NV DJ1 is the same thing only in japanese)so you have to bid for it but is worth every penny that you pay for,for the starting or experienced filmmaker this is the camera, on the downsize and the only downer it doesn't have firewire connection cause of it's age,it does have s video, analog, digital rca connections, in and out, simply amazing camera for the price. circa 1997.
