Great deck from a great manufacturer
Pros
Great sound, sleek design, flipface deck, easy load.
Cons
Laser worn 4 years. No equalizer, bass & treble options (-12 to 12). Pre-amp outputs.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Better than most decks released at the time and well worth buying used for $100 or so.
I should start off by saying that I love Panasonic and that I think they make the best electronics in the world. Of course, that starts me off on a pretty big bias but I feel that I'm always justified.
We bought this cd deck to put into our 2002 Hyundai Accent. The sound is very clear, which is more than likely due to the deck and not the speakers are the car is relatively basic and wouldn't come with above-average stock speakers. I won't bore you with the specs as you can pull them up through the specs menu but I will mention that 180 watts of power is more than enough for most people and that the "loud" option really does help.
If you want to hook up subs...you can't. There are no pre-amp outputs so you'll have to upgrade the speakers but you can't add an amplifier.
I would recommend this deck for most people and most people are going to drop $2000 on an amp and subs to upgrade. This deck is guaranteed to increase the quality of your stereo system (if you have stock) because the build-in amp is much better than any other stock piece.
