A great value
I had this unit put in my brother-in-law's van as a thank you as he loaned the vehicle to us for a 2700 mile trip. During the 10 days of use with this stereo, I found it worked very well.
I only burned one CD-R to take on the trip and it was sure nice having something like 10 hours of...

great buy if you have lots of mp3s
I can't tell you enough how much I love this thing! I've had for about 6 months now, and I use it every day. I was looking for a car CD player that would play MP3 CD's because all of my music is archived on CD-R discs. I didn't want to waste CDs on short audio discs and I definitely didn't like the... love it so far
I bought this model because it has a relatively clean, uncomplicated design and because it plays mp3s (why anyone would make a car CD stereo without mp3 capability in this day and age is beyond me). The fact that it will play mp3s in random mode sealed the deal for me. And the price was reasonable... Read full review »
Awesome Functionality at a Great Price but Downright Distracting
I bought this stereo from Crutchfield after reading the reviews on epinions about it. I noticed that it had overall good ratings and as I had limited funds available and wanted a full function MP3/CD player for my car, I did not hesitate to order this model.
When it arrived, I opened the...

Great performance, great price, can you ask for more?
About a year ago I took a trip to TWEETER ETC and brought a MP3 cd with me. I tried the cd on about a half dozen MP3 units and found that they all took a long time and their functionality was poor...except the highest end Kenwood Execelon. There weren't any Panasonics to test though. However that... Read full review »
Almost a great deck, but has a BIG problem
I bought a new car a few weeks ago and sold my 10-disc changer with the old car. As I'm not used to having less than 10 discs available to me at any given time, I decided to pick up this unit, rip all my CDs to MP3 and put my original CDs back into the cases (most of them haven't seen their cases... *thumbs down*
I don't think the other reviewers listened to normal cds before writing there reviews. MP3 cds play great. But if you play a normal cd with any scratches on it it'll skip. I thought maybe mine was just defective but I tried another and same problem. I do NOT recommend. I'm returning mine to... Read full review »
It died
After 52 months, the unit blew its onboard 15 Amp fuse. Replacing the fuse resulted in immediate blowing of the new fuse (twice). I partially disassembled the unit and found no obvious shorts.
:-(
I'll try another brand next time
