The Bottom Line:
A great TV for a great price...
The Panasonic Tau CT-20SX10 is an excellent buy for anyone considering shopping for a TV of this size. It's perfect for a small room, yet it packs so much that not even larger TV's come with what it comes with. Its priced reasonable for what you get, and makes you happy that you bought. Being over my sister's house the other day, I was able to get the low-down on this 20" marvel.
Visual quality is something else when you look at. It boasts a clear, sharp picture all around. It comes with a 3 line digital comb filter, which greatly reduces dot crawl and dithering effects. Color bleeding is also eliminated, giving you excellent color resolution. Having a pure flat-screen, light glare is reduced and viewing the TV from any angle gives you the same viewing. Also, the TV has a Velocity Scan Modulation, which helps the picture quality alot. The TV offers up to 600 lines of resolution(Video), so when watching those DVD movies through S-Video or Component, you get crystal clear clarity. When hooked up to my PS2, the games were like no other, just as good as my TV back home. Thanks to its Component video, you get color resolution like game makers intended for you to see.
The sound department of this TV is pretty good. Its very clear when hearing things like TV shows and movies, and the sound is leveled out thanks to the BBE sound enhancement, which makes every program/commercial stay at a constant sound level, thus making you free to watch, instead of adjusting the volume for that one commercial that is loud.
Other things about this TV I found quite easy and simple, like the menu. When messing with it, I found it really simple to adjust the TVs settings, like color and channel setup, w/o the use of a manual. The styling of this TV is pretty cool, very space like. The components that are included give you many options for DVD, VHS, video games, and other things. You'll have more than enough to configure a home entertainment center with this TV.
Overall, this 20" marvel is great, easily on par with Sony's WEGA TV. You get a great picture, sound and a alot of input/outputs you can use. A worth consideration for anyone looking for a new, small TV.
