The Bottom Line:  You can't beat this TV for the price I paid. 27 inches of great sound and picture!
I was looking for a second TV to replace my 11 year old Zenith 27 inch set to go next to my 32 inch PhilipsMagnavox tv. Thats right, 2 TVs in one room. I am a big sports fan and either need to have 2 games on at once, or 1 game on with 1 tv show. I also just upgraded to digital cable and wanted a quality(updated) TV to produce the better picture and sound you get with digital converter box. I think I found one(TV) with the Panasonic CT-27D12D.

I found this TV on sale at Boscovs.com for $199, which is $100 less than the list price of $299 and about $50 less than other internet stores. My local Boscov's didn't even have this model on the floor, but had 2 sealed(new) sets in their stockroom when I called by phone to confirm the availability. I was told it was an older model that has already been replaced, for the reason it was not on the floor. The salesperson agreed with my opinion that it had the best features of all the 27 inch sets they had for under $300. My set was stamped made in March 2003, which isn't old to me.

I looked around at the other name brand (Sharp/RCA/Philips/Magnavox) 25-27 inch sets for under $250, and NONE of them had all the features that this set does. The 3 line digital comb filter and the 600 lines of resolution with 5 watts per speaker surround sound mts/sap stereo(dbx) CAN'T be found on ANY 27 inch sets for $199. The picture is great, lots of color and crisp, and the sound is clear too. Their are plenty of options for you to set the picture and sound to your taste. One set of front a/v jacks, 2 rear a/v jacks. The remote feels nice in your hand, but buttons are on the small side.

If you can find this set for $199 up to $250, I would grab it, especially over a lesser name set for that price that won't have the picture and sound quality/features this bad boy does.
