The Bottom Line:
This is the best television, in my opinion, in its category.
I bought this television from a local retailer approximately three months ago. In comparison with products in this size and category, this television has the best picture in my opinion. I compared it directly with a Sony 27" at about the same price, and this one definitely seemed better. Thusly, I purchased it. The CT-27SL14 is quite heavy (95 lbs) and bulky, as most single-tube televisions are.
As for compatibility, this television has everything I could need: 3 composite inputs, 1 s-video, and 1 component.
The remote is very useful in that it can control most Panasonic electronics right out of the box. My Panasonic DVD player worked perfectly with the remote. The range is also very good on the remote.
Audio quality is exceptional as far as integrated speakers go. 5 watts per channel- if you really want powerful sound then go with a HTIB. Nonetheless, the audio is superb with simulated surround sound. The higher you turn it up, though, the worse it sounds.
I do not see any noticeable color bleeding on my set. The resolution is 700 lines horizontal, which is much better than a lot of single tube televisions this size.
Overall, this is a great flat screen television with a likewise picture. Panasonic is a dependable name brand and well worth the extra money if you are looking at off-brands.
