Cannot record digital broadcast to VCR, but, absolutely incredibly, no auto-finalize when recording to DVD.

This is very poorly designed. It won't allow taping digital broadcasts to VCR, but then doesn't support auto-finalize when recording to DVD! Unreal - if you want to record something but don't intend to watch it on that machine, you can only record it to DVD - when you go to retrieve the DVD, you have to turn on the machine - which takes a very long time when in energy-saving mode, go through the menus to find where to finalize the DVD, and then finalize it - taking at least a couple of more minutes - amazingly poorly thought out.
