Panasonic DMR-EA48VK DVD Recorder

We have had the DVD/Video player for less than a year and have had returned it to the service center three times for the same type of problem. The DVD jams in the machine and there is no reset button to get it out. Which means I have to call the service center, they send me a shipping letter, I have to find a box & pack it up and then take a trip to the shipping center. This just happened again and the DVD player is currently on it's way back to the repair center. This time when I called I told them I’ve had to return this machine several times and I would like it replaced with one that does not break every couple of months. Before they even checked to see how long I had the machine, I was told they would only do warranty work and only for one year!! Fortunately it's been less than one year but it breaks in the same way every time so I guess they will just keep getting the stuck DVDs out and returning it to me until the warranty runs out. Then I will eventually be left with a machine that I can't use because the DVD will get stuck and it will cost less to replace it then fix it. I asked for a replacement and was told by the call center they don't do that..I would have to check with the repair center.. I checked with the repair center and they said they don't do that.. I would have to check with the call center...Very Frustrating.....So with the exception of the fact that it appears that I am going to be stuck with a lemon....when it works it works well, I just hope you don't get one that has a problem because it appears the only thing that will happen is you keep wasting your time and gas returning it until your warranty runs out. Good luck, we've always bought Panasonic but after this service, I'm not sure we will ever do it again.
