Panasonic DVD-LA85 7 in. Portable DVD Player

When I first got this product, I thought I made a mistake in purchasing it. I asked myself when and where am I going to use this???? Well, I use this almost every night. I stay up late at night alot, later than my wife. So whenever she falls asleep and I don't want to wake her up with the TV on, I would use the portable DVD player with headphones.

The picture on the DVD screen is amazing. You can put it close to your face and it will give you an effect that you are watching a movie at the theater. It has digital output, as well as S-video output. So whenever I want to use it for my big screen TV, I can hook it up in less than 2 minutes.

The sound is decent with the built-in speakers, but if you really want great sound, either hook it up to some external speakers or get some really good headphones. The built-in headphones effect really gives you a 3-D sound. You can hear helicopter flying over your head and objects going around you, just like a dolby digial effect.

Sometimes when I am bored, I'll even hook it up to my car. All I need is plug in a tape adapter to the output for the headphones. That way, I can use my car's stereo system to listen. In long drives, my wife uses it in the front passenger seat and that usually take her attention away from my speeding driving habits.

If you can afford it, it is a really great product to buy. Your friends will also admire you for having such a cool gadget.
