Pros Picture detail; colour; contrast
Cons Grain in picture; CD playback
Recommended it? Yes

Until the budget aircrafts of this millennia setup some nice screens on the back of seat head rests, and also encourage that in buses and trains, a portable DVD player is the key to winding away the hours while travelling. Even then you won?t have a vast amount of leeway in what to watch, thus... Read full review »

That?s it!?! A lousy %@#$ pretzel !?!
My job requires me to travel quite a bit, and with the recent changes to the flight industry with increased security and exponentially increased waiting times, I realized that I needed a highly portable distraction to help pass the time (and keep my... Read full review »

LV60 is the best 5.8" portable DVD.

Pros Size, plays MP3's, screen clarity, superior sound.
Cons Battery, does not come with car adapter.
Recommended it? Yes

I purchased the LV-60 from Best Buy after comparing it to the RCA RC5400P and Audiovox 1680 models that are similar. Panasonic makes a much higher quality product and has been the leader in DVD technology. The Audiovox 1680 is bulky and looks very cheap, especially the plastic casing. It does... Read full review »

Pros Versatility, size, sound and image quality
Cons Had to return it a couple times for repairs and buttons are hard to utilize
Recommended it? Yes

We used this for an educational offering at work and it was great except for the fact that we had to return it once for problems with the motor that spins the discs. Luckily, it was before it's first year was up so it was still under warranty, but it was also aggravating because it hadn't had too... Read full review »

I purchased a Panasonic DVD LV60 and without dropping, hitting, or doing anything, the screen stopped working. When I took it to Panasonic, I was told the LCD Screen is not covered under the warranty. They told me the screens can break for a variety of reasons including jarring, temperature,... Pros Picture quality; size of unit; ease of use; battery life.
Cons None that I've noticed.

If you can find one, GET ONE!

I looked at all types of portable DVD players, from the 11" Toshiba 2500 (too big, disc drive makes noise when playing, at least $550) to the 7" $200 Initial players at Circuit City (you get what you pay for!), and felt that the DVD-LV60 had the most to offer... Read full review »
