Not a bad little toy...
Pros
Great picture, sounds excellent, it's portable
Cons
a bit pricey
Recommended it?
Yes
My main problem in life is that I like toys. This was not a problem when I was a kid and played with GI Joes, because you didn't have to sell your vital organs for science experiments to afford the new Storm Shadow action figure. BUT, since I am all grown up now (kinda), my toys have become a little more expensive.
So when I saw this portable DVD player, I had to have it. Did I NEED a portable DVD Player? Nope. Did I have any way to justify buying such an expensive toy to my wife? Not a chance. But did I buy it anyway? You know this, man!
Well, at first I was very impressed with the clarity of the picture and the sound, and I was loving life. Then the credit card bill came. Uh, Oh...time to sleep on the couch for a few nights when the wife sees that!
The only thing I can complain about with this DVD Player is the fact that it costs about $1500. For about the same price, you can purchase a notebook computer with a DVD player installed that you can use for more than just watching videos. Now granted, the portable DVD player is going to have a sharper picture and better sound than a computer running the movie on it, but still, I would rather buy a computer that does more than just play movies.
In general, I would say that if you have nothing better to do with your money, you will love this DVD Player. If your wife controls your paycheck and gives you an allowance of your own money that you have worked hard for and just want to buy a toy (I am not bitter), then buy a computer with a DVD Player, so at least you have a little more justification for having it.
