The Panasonic DVD-S77 is a dream come true for purely delightful video and audio experience. The ability to play dvd-ram, dvd-rw, video cd, dvd-r/rw/ rw, and cd-r/rw gives this unit a step up above many others. HDMI is the icing on the cake.
The Panasonic DVD-S77 creates a wonderful picture regardless of being set at 480i, 720p or 1080i. The upconversion is a real treat when viewed on a wide screen (16:9) format TV. In my case it's a Panasonic PT-43LC14 (dlp). The unit boasts a HDMI connection to my TV and digital output for sound. It also has a host of available adjustments for picture and sound. The remote is user friendly and well laid out. I had the opportunity to view the movie Constantine as my first play on this unit and I have to say that it made the movie look fantastic in 720p. I really enjoyed it. Lots of spacey sounds and cool visual effects were made to jump right out at me thanks to the well engineered player. Thank you Panasonic.
