The Bottom Line:
I'm terribly disappointed--I expected better from Panasonic. Avoid it, because it doesn't work anyway.
I got this phone with my AT&T plan--new phone. (I'd previously had a Nokia 5165.) Despite casual use--I have a cell phone rather than a landline because I don't spend much time on the phone--after a few (6-8) months, it started going into a dead mode, somewhat like a screensaver (only it's not a screensaver). I had to push buttons to bring the screen back to life. After awhile, it started getting worse, so I traded it in. It went downhill quickly in the last two weeks I had it. I exchanged it under warranty--refurbished--and this one has problems not being able to connect despite indicating full reception. It actually dials less than a third of the calls I try to make, and rarely--less than 3% of the time--makes a call without me having to tell it "yes" I want to redial immediately after hitting send. (I never knew that was an option on the old phone.) In addition, this phone has problems holding a charge--I use the same battery as the old phone, but it only holds a charge for two days at most (previously about a week with same use). Both phones had reception problems, even when it indicates a clear signal, and people complain that they cannot hear me frequently (although I can generally hear them). It's a bad phone, despite the nice size. I also don't care for any of the ringers, but that is nothing compared to the phone's worthlessness. I've never abused it in any way, so basically the phone sucks. I'm tossing it because it's my sole phone and I can't depend on it in an emergency.
