The Bottom Line:
This is a great recorder and well worth anyones money, panasonics recorders are probably the best you can get.
I bought this product due to how happy i was with a previous panasonic model (DMR-E55) which i found very reliable, high quality and had lots of great features. I used it a lot more than the arerage person and had it for two years and had no problems. I only replaced it with the newer DMR-ES10 because they have an offer at tesco's and it only cost me #109.97!
The DMR-ES10 is even better than my previous model. It only takes a second to record from standby and this is not just panasonics claim, that is the very longest it takes (my last model took about 20 seconds!) It is also slimmer and better looking than my previous model. It records on dvd-rw which means that recordings made are more likely to be compatable with other machines. The machine is very easy to use, responsive, and the casing is completly made of metal and the unit seems very well built and strong. It has loads of great features such as chasing playback/timeslip, various editing features, the recordings are very easy to play back and it automatacly stamps an index picture for each separate recording with the program name and when and on what channel it was recorded from.
This is a very high quality, stylish machine which has loads of great features and well worth anyones money and panasonic is probably the best make of dvd recorder you can buy.
